The Legendary 12
A half-elf Emissary of the King, Belegiel is patient, congenial, and a renowned negotiator.
Belegiel (bele’ means mighty, giel means maiden) is a preeminent member of Sasplen’s nobility. A half-elf, Belegiel shares qualities from both races, and has used this to her advantage. Belegiel had always shown a talent for mediation, her inner patience and strength of mind allowing her to settle the most heated disputes. And, with her mixed blood, she was often able bridge the gap between elven and human groups, showing each the merit in each others’ ways. Belegiel lived and grew up in the town of Provia, and amidst the bustle of the city, she had many opportunities to prove her skills in diplomacy. Her talent was noticed by the then Prince Relndor on one of his many visits to the province.
Soon after, Relndor had Belegiel Talavaelan moved to Sasplen and made her one of the King’s own Emissaries. As such, her job is to settle disputes across the land, when such disputes cannot be settled by the Town Council’s for reasons of conflict of interest or indisposition, and to deliver specific or personal messages from the King and his advisors across the land. The King only ever employs a handful of Emissaries at any given time, and so it is a position of influence.
Belegiel is patient and understanding, as her elven blood would dictate, but also prone to fits of valor; she will pursue justice and is sickened by the filth of the world. She is, also, more than a mere diplomat- she is also a highly skilled fighter. Blending the talents of both her ancestries, Belegiel fights with twin shortswords, tempering strength and fierceness in battle with grace and determined, controlled attacks. She is, on all fronts, a force to be reckoned with.
