Indara

An enormous metropolis situated on the corners of the Azerbad Desert and along the banks of The Seep. Indara, while possibly the single largest city in all of Othyr, is a rundown place. Garbage and waste is left out in the streets, people live in shoddy huts and shanties packed close together, and most buildings are left in poor repair. There is little trade between Indara and other places; this city lives off the Seep and whatever natural resources and labor can be found in close-by land.
Indara’s Council, reflective of its population, is the largest Council with over twenty members. This leads to much arguing and little actual action.
Indara has long been known as the ‘sister’ city of Kef. Each city straddles the Seep, only on opposite sides. Similarities between the two are plenty, although they also share many differences.
The populations of Indara and Kef have long been rivals in trade and war. The peoples from each town do not get along with each other, and it is a punishable offense for a citizen of one city to be seen with the other, as agreed upon by the Councils.
Indara is constantly on the alert, eager to go to war with Kef at the first sign of provocation. The reasons Indara’s Council does not declare war on Kef are twofold: They do not wish to incur King Relndor’s wrath for warring amongst themselves, and they fear Kef’s power. Kef soldiers are much better armed then the poor Indara militia.
