Races

Othyr is home to all races, and almost every race is equally represented. No one race is treated above the others, although Humans are the dominant species.

Dwarves, Elves, Half-Elfs, and Halflings all have similar numbers in Othyr and are considered the ‘common’ races, aside from humans. There is little or no prejudice towards these races.
Eladrin, Tieflings, and Gnomes are rarer species in Othyr, though not unheard of. Together they consist about 4% of the population. None of them are particularly liked or disliked, and if they are treated differently it is mostly because they are rare.
Dragonborn are an oddity in Othyr, and mainly the stuff of myths. When a Dragonborn is spotted they are generally avoided and even feared due to their appearance, though most establishments will serve them and very few would show prejudice towards such a race merely because of their differences.
Goliaths keep merely to themselves and live mainly only in the Kelketch Mountains, but there are ample amounts of them. Most people have not seen the hulking people, but know of them. They are accepted if a little intimidating.
Half-Orcs are generally despised in Othyr, as the hatred of Orcs runs deep. In some open-minded societies a Half-Orc may be accepted, but they will be lucky if they are ever trusted or fully accepted.
No other races exist on the face of Othyr.
